eSport and Renegade?

Hi guys,

I've been pretty much involved in the eSport scene. For those who don't know anything about it, its not that hard. eSport (rather known as elektronic Sports) is playing a game to win. Competivitely. There are several tournaments where you can show off your skills whether it is online or offline.

The thing is, it seems like Renegade never came into the picture of esports. So less tournaments, real clans or organizations which have the game in their roster. Is it because Renegade is 'too old'? Or not competitive enough? Can there be any future within renegade with a continuator, like Renegade X?

I'm wondering because I'm part of Team Celsus, www.team-celsus.org. We recruit the best teams on games such as CoD4, Trackmania, CoD2, Fifa09 + some Xbox360 games. Due to the achievements and performances of those teams, we can gather sponsorship and support those teams for going to tournaments and representing our name.

Does anyone of you has ever been in an organization for the game renegade? And could you explain a bit more for me why Renegade hasnt really been the game for eSport? Imo Renegade is a huge teamwork game with lots of enjoyment within it. People would rather play this game than others. Nah lets not be to long-winded.
